A system of vase and lid to contain quality products of excellence of a territory rich in food and wine culture.
The anthropomorphic figuration is designed for a mosaic or stone material coating on a 3D clay printed object since it is developed as part of a didactic project carried out within the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo.
The same design is introduced at different scale, as an installation at territorial level, to promote the genetic identity between products and territory of origin.
A stop to taste the products, a stop to reflect.
Once the original function has been fulfilled, the container remains in time as an aesthetic object of quality, in its double function of memory of what was originally contained and to host new contents.
“Food history is as important as a baroque church. Governments should recognize cultural heritage and protect traditional foods. A cheese is as worthy of preserving as a sixteenth-century building.”
